Beef, Bacon and Black Pudding – Westmere Butchery

While in Auckland, judging at the Devro Great New Zealand Sausage Competition I also visited Westmere Butchery. It’s close to friends of ours so no visit to Auckland really is complete without a visit there.  I purchased some beef, bacon and black pudding sausages.

These sausages meld together beautifully the flavours of beef, bacon and black pudding. There are chunks of black pudding. It is a beefy tasting sausages that has three complementary flavours – unsurprisingly, these are beef, bacon and black pudding. The flavours are nicely balanced and it’s a good solid eating sausage that will appeal to meat eaters.
